When people start to plan their new kitchen they think there's something wrong with wanting a traditional kitchen design.

There is significant merit in a traditional kitchen design. For instance, many modern kitchens don't have tables and are solely used for food preparation. This is quite sad as the kitchen is traditionally the heartbeat of any home and can be a great place to socialise. Also, if you're the one doing the cooking you might not always want to be locked away on your own. By fitting in a table and a few chairs you can reinvent the space dramatically.

If you're a fan of traditional family values then it will be hardly surprising that you like the idea of having a traditional kitchen. You might like cooking food while your children do drawings at the table or having the whole family around for sunday dinner. There's nothing wrong with this and there's nothing wrong with trying to insert some traditional elements into your kitchen design.
